When it’s time to renew your maintenance plan, you’ve got options
Autodesk Moving to Subscription Business Model
Autodesk have heard from customers that managing two different business models is complex and that they would like the option of a single licensing environment. Autodesk now have a compelling offer for our maintenance plan customers to switch to subscription – at a discounted rate!

Get access to Autodesk’s ongoing stream of innovation, updates to core products, cloud services for desktop products, and additional capabilities as soon as they are available, at no additional cost.
- Access to new Industry Collections
Available only through subscription, they’ll realize significant savings when they need two or more Autodesk software products.
- Simplified administration
Access tools that streamline deployment and software management when they standardize all of their Autodesk products on subscription.
What is changing for customers with maintenance plans?
February 20, 2017: Multi-year maintenance plans will no longer be offered
Autodesk will no longer offer multi-year maintenance plans. Customers who choose to remain on maintenance will be able to renew for one year at a time. While quotes made before February 20 will be honored until March 31.
IMPORTANT: Customers who choose to renew a multi-year maintenance contract before March 31 will not be eligible to switch to a subscription until their contract is up for renewal.
May 7, 2017: Maintenance plan renewal prices will increase every year
On May 7, 2017, maintenance renewal prices increased by approx 5%, and will increase by 10% in 2018, and 20% in 2019. To mitigate these increases and enjoy the benefits of subscribing sooner, customers should consider moving to a subscription at the time of renewal.
June 2017: Switching from maintenance to subscription
Customers are able to switch their products on a maintenance plan to a subscription at time of renewal and enjoy a significant discount off a new subscription. The price to switch will increase 5% annually, so the earlier you switch to a subscription, the less it will cost—giving you greater savings compared to customers who wait to move, or choose to stay on maintenance. You’ll also be able to lock in this special pricing (ex. any exchange rate fluctuations) for up to three years and continue to receive discounted pricing for as long as you renew.
Take advantage of a special offer to switch to subscription
At time of renewal, you can choose to move to subscription for the same cost as your maintenance plan renewal—or switch to an industry collection at a special price. When you switch, you can secure your discounted subscription price for up to three years.1 As long as you continue to renew, you’ll enjoy special pricing, which will be lower than maintenance plan renewal pricing, and far below the cost of purchasing a new subscription.

Switch to an Autodesk Industry Collection under the same special offer
Do you use more than one Autodesk product? If so, you should think about subscribing to one of our industry collections — a great way to access the tools you need for the work you’re doing.
Not ready to switch? We’ve got you covered
If the timing to switch to subscription doesn’t work for you now, you can switch next year or the year after — or not at all, and remain on maintenance.
As your renewal approaches, make sure to discuss these options with CADPRO Systems so you can make the decision that works best for you and your business.

- Renew your maintenance plan for one year

- Frequent product updates that you can decide when to consume;
- More convenient support including “schedule a call” for faster engagement times;
- Simpler administration of software when standardizing products on subscription;
- You can turn on and off subscriptions based on your project peaks and valleys.
After I switch to subscription, can I continue to use the same software version I was using on my maintenance plan?
Yes, in most cases, you will be able to continue to use* versions of software downloaded and activated under your maintenance plan. These versions will now become part of your subscription entitlements. Additionally, you will have access to subscription previous versions per the Subscription Previous Version Eligibility List.
* Subject to compliance with certain conditions and limitations, and not possible in some countries.
